Every Pig ‘N’ Whistle Event for your 2018 Bucket List

We’re well and truly into 2018 and while for some of you this may mean a terribly long time until you get to use the excuse of Christmas for drinking bottomless Champagne on a weeknight, for Pig ‘N’ Whistle this means the start of plenty of awesome events. Here’s what’s happening at each Pig ‘N’ Whistle this year.

Brisbane’s Home of Football will continue to be the number one place in Brisvegas to catch any good football match. The FIFA World Cup will take place between 14 June and 15 July and the Premier League and A-League finals will be ones to watch. Head to our live sports page to never miss a game.

As usual, Riverside will continue to go off every Friday and Saturday night, housing the best DJ in Brisbane playing your favourite tracks of the nineties and noughties like Summer of ’69 and Wonderwall. Yes, he takes requests.

Queen Street Mall

Our 24/7 venue with a supper menu that exists for the sake of your stumble home from Riverside. Queen Street Mall will also be your go-to venue for any live sporting match you want to catch that’s early morning. Come join the 6am Premier League crowd!

King George Square

Look out for the Brisbane Comedy Festival taking place between 23 February and 25 March. A selection of the shows are located at Brisbane City Hall which is quite literally a hop, skip and a jump away from Pig ‘N’ Whistle King George Square.

Brunswick Street

Well, it’s going to be a big year for our friends in the Valley. On February 18 (and every Sunday thereafter) Pig ‘N’ Whistle Brunswick Street will host a hospo night… Just for those working in the industry who celebrate their Friday on a Sunday.

On February 24 the Brunswick Street Pig will be hosting its first Meet the Brewer event with Ballistic Brewing Co. Expect guest Ballistic beers on tap, great tunes, an appearance from the smoker and plenty of encouragement to kick on into the night. Meet the Brewer events will be hosted monthly so follow us on Facebook to stay in the loop.

Pig ‘N’ Whistle Brunswick Street’s sold-out event of 2017 is back! Stone & Wood and Balter are gracing us with their presence on March 10 in the form of another long lunch. Find more information here.

Lastly, trivia will continue every Wednesday night as will our Thursty Thursdays. With Aperol and Pimms now on board (FYI, we’ve got them on tap) you will not want to spend your Thursday night anywhere else.

West End

Trivia has started back at West End in a big way! We’ve done away with pen and paper and are excited to be hosting the team from Timeout Entertainment every Wednesday night from 7pm. To book a table simply email us!

With it’s convenient location right next to the South Brisbane train station, West End is also your best local watering hole for events happening at Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre or QPAC. We eagerly await Aladdin, Jim Jefferies and Jimmy Carr! Book a table before your show and let us ensure your night is one to remember.

Like its West End counterpart, Indooroopilly has also recruited Timeout Entertainment to host their weekly trivia on Tuesday evenings. You can also nab half-price wings every Tuesday!

Sit down comedy will continue every Wednesday evening from 6:30pm and you can check out the schedule here.

Redbank Plains

It’s hard to capture everything that Redbank Plains offers because there is just SO much. Fan of pokies? It’s the only venue with a luxe gaming room open until 4am every day. Consider yourself a little dainty? High tea is available every day! We use three-tiered stand, fine china and silverware of only the highest quality. Behold an atmosphere with grace and charm! The menu includes dainty sandwiches, petite savoury hors d’oeuvre, Devonshire scones with cottage jam & cream and more. Bookings are essential.

After the success of the sold-out Grill & Distill event last month, another appreciation dinner is in the works for 2018. Sign up to our database to stay in the loop.
