Pig ‘N’ Whistle have a new venue… AND a new logo!

The Pig ‘N’ Whistle Redbank Plains opening is inching closer and we have unveiled Pig ‘N’ Whistle’s new logo! The new pig will take the place of a tired and outdated pig, which didn’t embrace Pig ‘N’ Whistle values. Over the next couple of months, you’ll see us part ways with the old black and white logo. You’ll see the introduction of the new logo on social media, the website, internal and external advertising and our signage.

The new logo represents a pig that has been completely redesigned incorporating traditional British colours and soft tones. In recent times, the strength of the brand had diminished, due to the use of outlines for the logo. There was a loss of character throughout the ‘signature’ pig’s face. The new vision was to capture a jolly, cheeky and friendly pig full of colour and warmth. A bit like that of an English pub. The pig’s cheeky smile is representative of the friendly, welcoming and easy-going ambience evident at the Pig ‘N’ Whistle venues. He is a pig that appeals to all ages, just as our venues cater for. He is the new ‘face’ of the Pig ‘N’ Whistle brand, and one that we hope our customers will become quickly acquainted with!

The logo embodies Pig ‘N’ Whistle’s long history serving as one of Brisbane’s best and most reliable English pubs. The first Pig ‘N’ Whistle was established in Indooroopilly in 1999, with five venues to follow over the next 15 years. Although all very different in appearance, the concept and predominant offering of each venue is fundamentally the same. Jenny and Godfrey Mantle wished to create a traditional English pub that offered a wide variety of live sport, but didn’t compromise on food. We think they’ve nailed it – Pig ‘N’ Whistle has grown to be a household name. Pig ‘N’ Whistle is a home away from home for travelers and expats. It’s the ‘go-to’ pub for anyone wishing to see the best sport, live on big screens.

What next?

We’re excited for our logo to become a bigger part of who we are, and what the future holds for Pig ‘N’ Whistle. You never know, another venue may be on the cards!
